His words exactly: "It seems weird to write about myself, I guess others could characterise me better. However, if it is necessary to write about what I think about movies, then as you can see from my top 5, I am not much of an "arty" type of film specialist. I'm ruined by Hollywood! Good camera work is the thing I look for in the movies."

Date of Birth: 17th of February, 1979
 
She was born in Pärnu. In 2003 she garduated from Tartu Higher Art School, specialising in photography. Since then she has mainly been in France, taking part in several (audio)visual projects. From the autumn of 2005 she has been doing her Master degree in cinematogarphy in Toulouse Ecole Superieur d'Audiovisuel, France.

She is Estonian, speaks French fluently and English with a lovely French accent.

Well, he gets very easily excited about activities and situations. Then he gets tired of the activities and the situations for a moment... and then he gets excited again about the same things. He watches about 2-3 films a day. He talks non-stop, especially if the subject has anything to do with the movies.

He has studied sound engineering for film and video in the University of Tallinn. At the moment he is studying cultural management in Universitas Tartuensis Viljandi Culture Academy. As a hobby he develops konverter.ee, a web-portal dedicated to quality sound and does music in a group called "El Roboticos Digitablos". He is also an executive director of art-squat gallery "NLG".

There is a rumor that Merlit was already a professional even before she was born. She can make-up during the night shootings, attend different Summer concerts and plays around Estonia and can still remain the most positive person on the set (though the competition to the position was high!) - all at the same time. Small remark, Estonia is a small country in Europe, ca 45 000 squermeters in total. But this does not diminish Merlit's value at all.
